Every write-off has a status. A write-off status can have the following values:
Planned
A write-off is initially created with the Planned status. Materials and products are not deducted from the storage location.
Written off
When a write-off moves to the Written off status, all specified materials and products are deducted from the storage location.
To change a write-off status, click the status icon and select the desired status. Before the status changes, you will see a breakdown of how stock levels will be affected.
You can also change the default status assigned to new write-offs. This can be configured in Settings. For example, if you set the default status for new write-offs to Written off, materials and products will be immediately deducted from the storage location when a write-off is created.
