Every transfer between storage locations has a status. A transfer status can have the following values:
Planned
A transfer is initially created with the Planned status. Materials and products are not deducted from the source location and are not added to the destination location.
Shipped
When a transfer moves to the Shipped status, materials and products are deducted from the source location but are not yet added to the destination location. This status is useful when there is a delay between sending and receiving, for example, when shipping between distant storage locations.
Received
When a transfer moves to the Received status, materials and products are deducted from the source location and added to the destination location.
To change a transfer status, click the status icon and select the desired status. Before the status changes, you will see a breakdown of how stock levels will be affected at both storage locations.
You can also change the default status assigned to new transfers. This can be configured in Settings. For example, if you set the default status for new transfers to Received, materials and products will be immediately deducted from the source location and added to the destination location when a transfer is created.
