Archiving a Material

Archiving allows you to hide a material from active use while keeping the option to restore it at any time.

To archive a material, open its card and click Archive. You can also archive multiple materials at once by selecting them in the list and clicking Archive in the bottom popup menu.

To view the list of archived materials, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the materials screen and select Archived Materials.

To restore a material from the archive, use the Unarchive button — this can also be done for multiple materials at once.

How does archiving work?

Archived materials are not available when creating or editing operations, but they remain in all previously created operations and in product compositions.

Archived materials count toward your total material limit according to your pricing plan.

Deleting a Material

To delete a material, open its card and click Delete. You can also delete multiple materials at once by selecting them in the list and clicking Delete in the bottom popup menu.

Warning: Deleting a material is irreversible. A deleted material cannot be restored.

How does deletion work?

The material will be removed from the composition of products where it was included.

All existing operations with this material will remain unchanged — the material will still appear in them but will be displayed as crossed out. You can edit these operations and remove the material if needed.

The material will also continue to appear in the list of materials used in production. However, when updating a production, the system will apply the current product composition, which no longer includes the deleted material, and it will disappear from the production.
